SUN PROTECTION

The reaction of the skin to sunlight varies from individual to individual. Intensity and duration of sunbathing should be matched to the particular skin type. Surveys show awareness of sun protection has risen significantly recently. Severe sunburns are rare today. If you had frequent sunburns as a child, though, you are at an increased risk of skin cancer as an adult. From a medical perspective, there is no such thing as being allergic to the sun. However, some people react to sunlight with symptoms such as hives, blisters, and itching.

Polymorphic light dermatosis is the most common skin disease triggered by light. It can be prevented by avoiding direct sunlight and with the consistent application of skin protection agents with high sun protection factors such as sun+light protection SPF 30 (écran total) and sun+light protection SPF 20 (body+face).

If you still expose yourself to direct sunlight, make sure that you allow your skin to adjust gradually to exposure. Products like pre sun bioactivator help here. Even after heading indoors, there are protections against drying and premature ageing such as after sun body lotion. Using NUTRICOSMETICS (e,g, trace elements, formula V , and specific phyto-capsules, stinging nettle , wheat germ, borage ) before sunbathing can also strengthen the skin’s immune system.
